My name is Daria Rei. Coming from Moscow, now I am a freelance artist living and working in Berlin. 

I am proficient in drawing, painting, animation (2D), sculpture (miniature) and always keen to learn and develop my skills. 

My passion is drawing with anything that allows to draw: would it be ink, paper and watercolour or screen and a digital tablet. I try to add as much life, dynamic and expression to my work as it feels right. It is one of my strongest skills together with an ability to sketch and capture a scene, character, idea or whatnot very quickly with just a few lines. My work experience contains working in two gaming studios: Crazy Panda Games in Moscow as a Lead Artist and GameDuell GMbH in Berlin as an Illustrator; two animation studios: very well known Moscow Animation Studio Pilot as a Traditional Animator (yes, with actual pencil and paper!) and Animation Studio Medusa on the Versus project as an animator (traditional animation usig Flash).  My experience also contains freelance work for various companies and private clients as an illustrator, 2D artist and animator. 

Always carrying with me something that I can sketch with to visualise a new idea, draw a colourful scene or character I see on a street or in the underground or explain something to someone with whom we don’t share a language.  

I speak fluently English and Russian, and some elementary German. Have some basic knowledge of Japanese and planning to continue learning it.
